Matthew Lay

Matthew (Matt) Lay joined the First Federal Lakewood team in 2014 and is the Relationship Manager, Small Business Banking Leader. He is committed to providing his clients with a personalized banking experience and supporting their needs with a local team. He is dedicated to helping businesses of all sizes reach their goals.

Matt has over 25 years of experience in the banking industry and his areas of expertise include commercial real estate loans, business lines of credit, SBA options, equipment lending, and treasury management services including electronic banking options. He’s worked with a variety of clients in the following industries: manufacturing, distribution, IT, digital marketing, contracting, professional services, steel fabrication, and service-based.

He received a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University and has a Bank Leadership Institute certification from the Ohio Bankers League. Matt is a six-time Presidents Club award winner, which is given to top performers at First Federal Lakewood. He also sits on the finance committee at the Beck Center and on the board and finance committee at Youth Challenge.

Matt enjoys boating, golfing, and attending his daughters’ sports activities.
